Vidushi Ramya Shastry is a dedicated Bharatanatyam artist with nearly two decades of immersive experience in Indian classical dance. A senior disciple of the esteemed Guru Karnataka Kalashree Smt. Minal Prabhu, she continues to refine her art through advanced training under her guidance.
Ramya holds a Master's degree in Fine Arts (Dance) from Bharathidasan University and has successfully completed the Vidwat certification in India. She has had the privilege of performing on prestigious platforms across India and New Jersey, showcasing her grace, depth, and devotion to the art form.
With a deep understanding of the rich nuances of Bharatanatyam, Ramya passionately mentors aspiring dancers as the Artistic Director of Shivakanya Natyalaya. Now based in Seattle, she continues to perform actively and collaborate with artists and cultural organizations.
Ramya also offers classes for children and adults in Mill Creek, aiming to preserve and propagate the cultural heritage of Bharatanatyam among the next generation.
